At least 9 people were arrested after a huge fight broke out in a food court of the massive mall. Several witnesses said the fight started after a rumor that Drake and Lil Wayne were coming to the mall, Minnesota&8217;s WCCO-TV reported.

VIDEO:

&8220;There were drinks thrown on the floor and chairs being thrown everywhere,&8221; witness Tess Dessalgne told Minneapolis&8217; KARE-TV. &8220;Everyone started running towards the fight.&8221;

Oh, forlil wayne crying out loud. Really? A brawl? Were they going to be giving out money or something? Why would the two of them being at the mall spark a fight? I don&8217;t understand.

This story is ridiculous! So when they heard that Drake and Lil Wayne were coming to the mall, people were so excited and over joyed that they started fighting each other?

I don&8217;t get what started the fight? I could see the sheep rushing to see their saviors, (drake and wayne), but why fight?

Cant you see everybody is black or doo door brown, nig nogs don&8217;t need an excuse to behave like chimps.

the artists of Young Money are looked upon damn near as gods (people have even been getting Drake and Nicki Minaj tattoos as of late!). with the insane amount of influence they apparently have (mofos fighting in a mall over them?), you&8217;d think they&8217;d want to be a bit more responsible with that power&8230;but alas, they don&8217;t give two sts about anything but their money.

Next time for crowd control, all the Mall needs to do is just put up signs that say &8220;Voter Registration and ID applications sign up here.&8221; That will keep our people out of there and the crowds small. Once again, we have shown that we can cause a riot over the rumor that a rapper is in a location, yet we can&8217;t muster up enough sense to go and get our elderly and those who supposedly &8220;don&8217;t have any form of ID&8221; and help them to get the ID and get registered to vote.

And before any snide comments are made, I am Black, I do vote, and I have helped others to get the chance to vote, and I only wear a $40 pair of sneakers, not a $180 pair of Air Jordans.

How can anybody be surprised by this? Its a group of niggas and teenapers, and they&8217;ve shown time and time again that they don&8217;t need an excuse to behave like chimps.

Get some policemen in there to capture and control the animals before any civilized people get injured.

If young folk would fight over a book , like they do over bullst&8230;the world would be fking beautiful.

What does the Voter ID issue in South Carolina have to do with teenagers fighting over rappers in Minnesota have in common? The Voter ID issue is based on POOR people who don&8217;t have money or the means to PAY to vote. This issue is about knucklehead teenagers who are MOST LIKELY NOT RELATED to POOR people in South Carolina. Pardon me, but your comment is totally IRRELEVANT.

Dandelion, let me give you a few pointers. 1) Poll taxes are illegal. So if you are poor, you can still vote. There are alos services that will help people to get the proper ID to vote. At the most, an ID costs $20.

I bet that most of those kids who were caught up in this brawl, come from homes that would be considered poor, and probably had on clothing items (bling, shoes, designer clothes) that cost more than the cost of an ID, or for that matter how did they get the word? Via some type of mobile phone devices that alone costs more than getting an ID.

The point I was is that where is the NAACP decrying this type of action and preaching responsibility? Nowhere to be seen, but yet they are all up in the air when it comes to trying to rig the vote. I am willing to bet that the majority of these people come from milies that are proud Dem supporters.

Just because one is poor, doesn&8217;t mean that you don&8217;t have to act like you have no class. I will agree to your point, that there were probably some in the crowd who would be considered coming from Middle class backgrounds and just got caught up, that happens. But just take a look at the majority of articles posted here on NewsOne. Whenever you hear articles about mass lootings, people rushing welre offices for Section 8 vouchers, fighting for a pair of tenis shoes, and people demanding other government freebies, they tend to be poor people of color. Who seem to have the time to wait in line for hours for a store to open, but somehow can&8217;t find the time to go register to vote, and need the NAACP to fight against a state against some perceived racism.

That&8217;s why it&8217;s relevant.

Probably somethin&8217; like this: &8220;Drake and Wayne are coming!&8221; &8220;no they not!&8221; &8220;yes they Are!&8221;-soda to the ce, Chair to the head!

Re-issued Jordans, and rumors,..doesn&8217;t take much anymore does it,..at least 15-20 years ago someone actually had to &8220;step&8217; on your kicks to spark a fight.

yeah i remember those days&8230; i snuffed a few for steppin on the Jordans&8230; those were the &8220;young and not as smart as i should&8217;ve been&8221; days&8230;

Okay there is something missing from this article. How is it that the mere rumor of Drake and Lil Wayne the cause of such a brawl? I think that the notion of this causing a major fight at a mall is ridiculous, if that was the cause, but I also think that the details are lacking to fully form an opinion on what really transpired. If the writer provided more information and did a little more investigative work into this situation it would certainly hold weight. The title gave the impression that there was concrete evidence and none of the quotes used for the article confirms this either. I think that the contributors to newsone should really strive to provide more cts and details and not just suce journalism.

why does this remind me of an episode of &8220;the boondocks&8221; when granddad fought stankmeanor and reilly threw a chair and all hell broke loose&8230; smh&8230;

Thanks for the effort, however you just reiterated the same IRRELEVANT dribble. However, it&8217;s obvious that you believe that ALL BLACKS are at the same economic status. Therefore, your RACIST attitude is at the heart of your comment. Oh and I kinda already knew that poll taxes were illegal, due to the ct that the JUSTICE DEPARTMENT ruled AGAINST South Carolina. You know the same state that has been found guilty of RACISM in their voting regulations. So, how long have you been basing your views on black people solely on what the media show you? The same media that goes out of their way to paint black people in a negative light.

If I were you, I would turn off the news, and develop a mindset of your own. Your views just helps me to realize that the media has another blind sheep to take credit for.

Sorry, no proof. Also it takes one to know one, you are, no doubt, also an &8220;animal&8221;, just a pink one.
