Exclusive 2 Chainz Talks Recent Solo Success, Bidding War for Debut Album in 2012

(AllHipHop News)Industry vet and one of the most talked about artists from the South, 2 Chainz, recently spoke with AllHipHop about the recent success of hisT.R.U. Realigionmixtape and his plans for 2012.

Despite the ct that many ns first became accustomed to 2 Chainz in the 2007 hit &8220;Duffle Bag Boy&8221; featuring Lil&8217; Wayne, 2 Chainz has been in the industry for years.

As Tity Boi, he worked with Ludacris&8217; in his early days with DTP and spent time on tour with Young Money/Cash Money.

Now after being featured on a host of singles, 2 Chainz is finally getting respect and the success he has prayed for all these years.

&8220;Just trying to stay busy, basically continue to grind, doing my feature thing, knocking out solo songs and staying busy and creative, starting off the year with some viral videos, so it should be a good summer,&8221; 2 Chainz told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview. &8220;It just feels good, it feels like the hard work that I have done paid off and it feels like a lot of the prayers that I had, have been answered.&8221;

According to 2 Chainz, he never changed his original name, but admitted that good timing helped when he released his hit single &8220;Riding Round, Getting It.&8221;

&8220;I think its just a timing thing and I think its just where we are as r as people getting interested in new kinds of music,&8221; 2 Chainz explained to AllHipHop of his recent success and name switch. &8220;When it came to my turn, it was something that people picked up on and on my recent verses I say it before my verse comes on, but it was really just timing and people being silly. For me it was just natural and someone told me I was brilliant for it, and I was just like &8216;I didn&8217;t do anything.&8217;&8221;

While the recent success is largely due to years of diligence and persistence, waves of ns came to respect and know 2 Chainz after his critically acclaimed documentaryCodeine Cowboyswas released last summer, which detailed 2 Chainz&8217; life behind the scenes and his relationships with Ludacris and Lil&8217; Wayne.

&8220;With that documentary I just wanted to put together a small summary of my relationship with Ludacris, my relationship with Lil&8217; Wayne aka Tunechi and of course my relationship with the Duffle Bag Boys, and wanted to show my relationship with all three and how they help me become who I am now through experiences with them.&8221;

The year 2012 looks to be a highly successful year for 2 Chainz, as he sits amidst a bidding war of labels trying to lure him in, with lucrative offers for his yet to be titled debut release.

But don&8217;t think 2 Chainz is content just basking in the light of his success.

&8220;Im looking forward to my debut album, you know hopefully this year I get a nice little deal and I get to put out a real album for the masses for distribution, I&8217;ll be excited especially if I can do some good numbers out the gate,&8221; 2 Chainz explained of his potential for an upcoming deal and debut release. &8220;I don&8217;t know much about it, it just depends on a deal, and we will just go forward from there, for now I&8217;m still moving as an independent so its a non-discussion. I can&8217;t tell nothing right now, just working hard right now basically.&8221;

Confirmed Lil Wayne Wore Women

You all sawwhatWeezyworeat the VMAs, right? LETS TALK ABOUT THOSE PANTS. The leopard print jeans were so crazy (and so tight) that it has everyone talking. Not because theyre stylish, but because theyre AWESOMELY HORRIBLE. Theres even aLil Wayne JeggingsTwitter. Well, we found out what he was wearing and they are WOMENS JEGGINGS!WOMENS.JEGGINGS. The brand loved by punk rockers everywhere,Tripp NYC, has confirmed on theirFacebook pagethat the YMCMB rapper was indeed wearing their pants. You can buy themhere for $44. Just make sure to get a very very large size so that you can sag in those tight ass jeans, just like Wayne. Dont blame us if people laugh at you.

,lil-wayne,vmas,jeggings,leopard-print-pants

WTFYW? Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith in Levis Jackets with Louis Vuitton Sleeves and Furry Monster Boots

Out of all the bitty boy bullet shion clothes yall put up here yall say something about lil Wayne? Yall reachin

Weezy is the best rapper alive though. Rock stars wear makes up and eye liner. Weezy wore a pair of pants and pulled it off like a G tho hahah Complex FAIL

I love Lil Wayne as an artest, but he didnt pull SHIT off he looked horrible and wore girls clothing...smh. Look if your llooking for someone who can dress in the game its DRAKE.

PAHAHAHA @ Best Rapper Alive. He doesnt even write his own lyrics. Kanyes not the best and he passes this weak ass rapper. Im STILL convinced his record label bought back Carter 3 because I NEVER hear his music, no one in Philadelphia is playing Lil Waynes stuff. Its not hot. Wayne is nothing compared to Jay-Z, Busta, Tupac, Eminem, Dre and hell never be close cause helil waynes a businessman (a good one who knows how to sell his product) but hes no Emcee and he never will be. Also, I dont care he wore jeggings. I do however find it ridiculous that he wore them like gay men in prison do showing his ass to millions of americans. Atleast emo boys wear them the right way. Skinny jeans are meant to be tight... theres no way you can make them better other than NOT WEARING THEM.

Best rapper alive? Nope. Does rock stars wearing make up and eye liner make up for what wayne did? Nope. Its still gay. And no, its not G.

that aint swagg didnt you hear hov say he started swagg you aint never see him wit that on tight jeggins is for rockers hiphop was repped by jeans,fitted caps and jackets(starter)...no man should have on these tight ass pants might as well rock ruffles

hiphop is not based on how you dress. its based on self expression. lil wayne clearly has a sense of shion that stands out and expresses himself through it.most people needed to know if they were girl pants or not to decide if they looked cool.and its ignorant to say hes attracted to men based off how he dresses.that nigga got es and fucced lauren london. stop bein stupidpeople always hate when someone does something different or not normal

Yeah old works for him I guess. 20+ years in the game and Watch The Throne sold out in Philadelphia before the album even RELEASED. Before people even heard the content that he would use for the show they went You know, I think this will be good and spend $150-300 on a ticket. Wayne was here in early August and there were still front row seats available, local radio shows telling people every 2 minutes about tickets being available AND he begged Nicki Minaj to come off tour with Britney Spears for the show... and he STILL couldnt fill an arena. Obviously Wayne is the better artist.

Ummm...care to point out where anybody confirms their womens jeggings? The company says those are their pants, but makes absolutely no mention of them being jeggings or womens at all. The karmeloop page is indeed some womens pants in a similar pattern, but made of a different material and dont come a size anywhere as large as the ones wayne had on.

if you click on the link to the clothing company, it lists them as womens pants available in a size 7.

Yeah, i didnt see any actual confirmation of them being womens other than the company makes a womans pant in a similar pattern. Seems like a misleading headline, but Im sure theyll get plenty of traffic off of this. Hip Hop journalism isnt much on actual ct checking

@Common SenseWell considering the only leopard print pants Tripp NYC sells is womens and do happen to be jeggings all signs point to thats what he was wearing.

dam dis nigga is a ing ggot 4real his music is ing trashdis nigga is not hip hop dis nigga needs to die but ing 15 year old white ggots are still buying his shiity music GTFO

Lil&39; Wayne on the train: Commuters caught in cultural experiment learn &39;How to Love&39; on the subway

Local commuters were a captive audience earlier this month when a Los Angeles-based cultural experiment took to the Metro in a coordinated effort to answer the question, What the hell is love anyway?

The Love Project, launched by local advertising agencyMuse Communications, wants to get to the heart of what love really means, and theyre doing it by asking a lot of people a lot of questions, and by performing Lil Wayne songs on public transportation.

Jo Muse, chairman and chief creative officer at Muse Communications, explained The Love Project in a press releaseas a way to explore culture and share it with a broader audience, He went on to describe the experiment as an opportunity to create something completely independent of client work.

The projectscollection of video interviewstake on dating, religion, mily, race, , heartbreak, divorce and sustaining a healthy marriage with questions like How did you know you were in love?, What would you NOT do for love? and Are human beings capable of unconditional love?

Ron Paul: The most dangerous man in the Republican Party? And now for something completely different. . . .

"I have often wondered why there arent more mash-ups featuring the music of Phoenix. They have a very energetic, bouncy sound that is hard not to dance to, especially in songs like Lasso, 1901, and Lisztomania, the latter so catchy that Ive noticed a certain car commercial basically ripping it off recently.

Tumblewoof must agree that Phoenix is mashable, because hes paired up the French indie rockers with rapper Lil Wayne. This combination doesnt sound at first like it would work; rap vs. rock mash-ups work so well because of the inherent tonelessness of most hip-hop. Lil Wayne sings more than he raps.

However, this mash-up EP is perfect. Tumblewoof doesnt just take two songs and put them together. He completely remixes the components, folding them back on each other. The individual pieces are hardly unrecognizable, but they feel new.

So what Tumblewoof, a DJ I hadnt even heard of until last week, has done is a great thing in his first EP. He manages make mash-ups worthy of the likes of Max Tannone and Tom Caruana. Tumblewoof takes Phoenixs most mous songs and divorces them from their original context, combining them with Lil Waynes sometimes ridiculous braggadocio. The DJ even makes Weezys Mrs. Officer sound less like a parody of R&B.

Id point out the highlights of this EP, but with only 5 songs, the whole thing is a highlight. Stuntin Like 1901 is probably my vorite track here, but they are all damn good."
